Depending on how broadly educators define or employ the term, curriculum typically refers to the knowledge and skills students are expected to learn, which includes the learning standards or learning objectives they are expected to meet; the units and lessons that teachers teach; the assignments and projects given to students; the books, materials, videos, presentations, and readings used in a course; and the tests, assessments, and other methods used to evaluate student learning. 

The Global Peace Leadership Academy Curriculum provides so much more. The GPLA curriculum provides an enriched course of study whose purpose is to (1) systematically guide the transmission of information and knowledge; (2) reinforce the desire (passion) to learn/know; (3) encourage the internalization of behavior and/or attitudes consistent with educational excellence, human mastery and the development of character. (Nobles, 1991a, 1991b).

The Global Peace Leadership Academy Curriculum  is based on “Principles of Excellence”  from the Nsaka Sunsum process of educational excellence. This curriculum provides a comprehensive plan for global excellence in education..  

The GPLA Curriculum includes all student activities, academic and non-academic, for which the school takes responsibility. The GPLC  is  developed in particular to accommodate the demands of most national or local curricula and provides the best preparation for students to engage in leadership for self, of others and for the globe.
